PITTSBURGH, April 7, 2008—The American Cable Association (ACA) appointed Bruce E. Beard, senior vice president and general counsel of Broadstripe (formerly Millennium Digital Media), to its Board of Directors. Mr. Beard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in advocating for the needs of independent cable operators, and his perspective will greatly contribute to ACA as it continues its fight to bring greater choices and value to consumers.
Mr. Beard previously served on the ACA Board of Directors from 2002-2006.

In his current role at Broadstripe, Mr. Beard facilitates the growth of the company’s footprint by negotiating and structuring acquisition agreements. Prior to joining Broadstripe, Mr. Beard was senior counsel with Cinnamon Mueller, a Chicago-based law firm focused on representing independent cable and telecommunication companies. Mr. Beard previously served as General Counsel for Millennium Digital Media from 2000-2006 and was also employed as an attorney for the telephone and wireless operations at SBC Communications Inc. (now AT&T) from 1988-2000.
