American Cable Association President and CEO Matthew M. Polka was the most recent guest on the C-SPAN program series The Communicators, a popular weekly program routinely watched by key policymakers and media representative active in the telecommunications field.

In a taped interview, Polka discussed independent cable's positions on the Comcast-NBC Universal merger, retransmission consent reform, broadband reclassification at the Federal Communications Commission and much more in a half-hour discussion with C-SPAN host Peter Slen and Wall Street Journal reporter Amy Schatz.

The interview was recorded Wednesday afternoon, July 28, immediately following the successful conclusion of the 5th Annual Independent Show in Baltimore, Md., a widely attended cable industry event co-produced by ACA.
